Summer Night Lights Program – Philadelphia Police Department Community Initiative
ABOUT THE EVENT
Summer Night Lights was a five-week community engagement initiative designed to activate neighborhoods and provide safe, engaging programming for youth and families in areas with high crime and youth activity. Weekly block parties on Mondays and Fridays featured food trucks, music, and activities, while Tuesday–Thursday programming offered structured engagement through local organizations.
The initiative reached 300–400 youth and families weekly, fostering positive community connection and strengthening relationships with local law enforcement. As a pilot program, its success demonstrated the power of consistent presence, thoughtful programming, and cross-sector collaboration.

Egypt’s professionalism, calm under pressure, and ability to translate our vision into seamless, family-friendly events made all the difference. The SNL team couldn’t have asked for a more committed, responsive, and talented partner. Highly recommended for any large-scale community or citywide event!
