  BRINGING A CITYWIDE CULTURAL CELEBRATION TO LIFE

The 2026 Africatown Diaspora Festival transformed Southwest Philadelphia’s Woodland Avenueinto a vibrant, multi-block celebration of culture, community, and economic opportunity. As partof Philadelphia’s 250th anniversary celebration, the free, family-friendly festival welcomedthousands of attendees for a full day of live entertainment, cultural experiences, local businesses,food, wellness activities, and family programming.

Led by the African Cultural Alliance of North America (ACANA), in partnership with theAfricatown Economic Development Corporation and PHL250, the festival featuredinternationally recognized performers including I-Octane, Rupee, and Libianca whileshowcasing the rich diversity of the Global African Diaspora.

Planning 2 Perfection served as an extension of the ACANA team, providing strategic planning,operational leadership, and production support from planning through post-event closeout. Wemanaged the behind-the-scenes coordination necessary to transform an ambitious vision into aseamless attendee experience.
