Serving With Purpose, Not Applause

Faith & Purpose, Morning Minutes

Today’s devotional centered on Mark 10:45:
“For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve…”

This scripture invited me to pause and reflect on what truly motivates the work I do—and how recognition shows up in my life. It prompted some honest questions: Why do I want to be seen? Why does acknowledgment matter to me?

I was reminded that the joy I find in my work comes from being able to share my gifts and serve others with intention and love. While acknowledgment is meaningful and appreciated, it should never be the driving force behind our purpose.

True fulfillment comes from a heart rooted in service—not applause.
